About PROVIDA
Our Origin and Purpose
Inspired by a deep commitment to science and health, PROVIDA was born in 2004 as the first umbilical cord stem cell bank in the region of Central America, Panama and the Caribbean. It was the joint vision of Dr. Eliana Vasco and Dr. Eduardo Glenn, Ph.D., a couple who united their knowledge and passion to create a service that protects what is most valuable: the future of families.
Since our inception, we have faced challenges that few would dare to take on. We chose to build in Costa Rica, with world-class technology, to ensure that every sample is processed and stored with the highest quality standards in our own state-of-the-art laboratory.
